Maria Melkova — Naive still life in Russian style

This oil painting (canvas on cardboard, 40x30 cm) is a still life in the naive art style with elements of stylized Russian motifs. The central subject is a white vase with black polka dots, reminiscent of a birch tree trunk - a symbol of Russian nature. The vase holds vivid roses painted in impasto: red, orange, yellow, and purple, like flashes of color against the rhythmic, monochrome background. The vase stands on a surface resembling birch bark: white with black circles, echoing the natural marks of a birch tree. The background features vertical stripes and stylized birch trunks, decorated with circles of various sizes, creating a dynamic rhythm and an intriguing visual effect. The vase appears as both a part of the birch trunks and a unique accent. This painting is ideal for those who appreciate unique color accents, love modern interiors with bright details, as well as for collectors and office spaces. Perfect for living rooms, kitchens, children’s rooms, or creative offices. This still life lifts the mood and adds personality and energy to any space. The artwork will be sent in a box.
