Elena Russkikh — Warmth in Hands

A quiet, intimate scene centered on a simple gesture: hands gently holding a cup, capturing a moment of stillness and self-care. The warmth of the drink becomes a metaphor for inner balance and soft restoration. Executed in acrylic in a naive art style, the work features simplified forms and a clear composition, focusing attention on feeling rather than detail. The palette contrasts warm ochre-pink tones with deep greens, creating a rich, lively atmosphere. Impasto accents highlight key elements—the cup, fruit, and sweets—adding tactile depth to the surface. Canvas size 60 × 40 cm makes the piece versatile: it works as a standalone accent and integrates easily into interior compositions. It suits modern spaces—minimalist, Scandinavian, eclectic, as well as cozy kitchen or dining areas—bringing warmth, calm, and a sense of mindful pause. A work is about the value of small rituals that restore a sense of grounding and quiet pleasure.

A contemporary artist working in naive figurative painting, naive landscapes, and still life.
