Elena Russkikh — Silence in a Cup original artwork

“Silence in a Cup” is a painting in the naive art style from the series “What Women Keep Silent About.” At the center of the composition is a woman in red, immersed in her own thoughts. Her gaze is contemplative and enigmatic, while the cup of coffee becomes a symbol of personal space and inner dialogue. The contrast between насыщенный red and deep burgundy creates emotional depth and intensity, enhancing the sense of inner tension and quiet strength. The warm, dramatic color palette is balanced by the heroine’s calm, almost meditative pose. Laconic forms and the soft acrylic texture emphasize the decorative quality of the work while preserving sincerity and simplicity. The painting captures a suspended moment in time — when the outside world fades away, leaving only the aroma of coffee and the flow of thoughts. The work fits beautifully into contemporary, minimalist, Scandinavian, eclectic, or art deco interiors, as well as intimate spaces such as a bedroom, study, café, or creative studio.

A contemporary artist working in naive figurative painting, naive landscapes, and still life.
