About the Work
Before Setting Sail is an original oil on canvas Mediterranean seascape featuring boats anchored in a secluded turquoise cove. Created with expressive palette-knife textures and vibrant coastal colors, the painting captures the beauty of the Mediterranean coastline and the anticipation of a journey about to begin. Inspired by life by the sea, this contemporary coastal artwork explores themes of freedom, travel, and connection with nature. Crystal-clear water, sunlit rocks, and peaceful boats create a timeless atmosphere of escape and tranquility.
