Eva Pakhomova — Van Gogh's Tree

On the canvas, a lone tree stands, bent under the onslaught of an invisible storm. Its twisted trunk and knotted branches reach out to the sky in a desperate plea. Surrounding it is the dense, almost tangible blue of night, speckled with spirals of starlight. The painting pulses with energy: This is not just a landscape, but a portrait of life itself, struggling to reach the sky against all the winds.

Romantic surrealism meets naïve painting in tender modern fairy tales about dreams and the soul.
