Eva Pakhomova — Van Gogh's Courtyard

The blazing sun melts the air above the hospital garden in Saint-Remy. A whirlwind of brushstrokes, like a frozen flame, tears away the familiar shapes from the ground: cypresses reach for the sky with fiery tongues, and olive trees spiral into the distance. This is not just a landscape, but the artist's inner world - anxious, passionate and full of hidden power. The color here screams about the life that beats even behind the stone walls of the asylum.

Romantic surrealism meets naïve painting in tender modern fairy tales about dreams and the soul.
