Alex Litvin — Crimson Guardian

Crimson Guardian explores protection, instinct, and inner strength through the image of a symbolic crab. Reimagined as a totemic figure, the animal embodies resilience and the instinct to protect what lies within, while its armored shell suggests the tension between outer defense and inner vulnerability. Intricate patterns and rhythmic linework transform the figure into a powerful ornamental emblem against a bold red ground. Executed in mixed media, the work draws on the symbolic language of nature and ornament, merging mythology with a personal visual language of pattern and repetition. The artwork is shipped safely in a cardboard box or in a tube.

Turning ancient symbols and inner worlds into contemporary visual stories.
