Emotional landscapes in acrylic, where light, colour and texture turn a real place into an inner state.
Biography
Anastasia Utlyakova is a contemporary artist from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, who works mainly in the technique of acrylic painting. The main direction of her artistic practice is the emotional landscape. The artist explores the possibilities of color, light, and painterly texture, trying to convey not so much a specific view or place as the atmosphere and emotional feeling of the space. Anastasia's works combine the expressiveness of impressionistic painting and elements of modern abstraction. Layering, free brushstroke, and a combination of transparent and dense color layers allow you to create spaces in which a real landscape gradually turns into an emotional image. The themes of silence, light, inner balance and contemplation occupy a special place in the artist's work. Nature becomes not just an object of image, but a way to talk about the human condition — about pause, peace, hope and a sense of inner freedom. Anastasia independently develops her professional art practice, regularly creates new works and participates in exhibition projects. Her works are presented on Russian and international online platforms of contemporary art. In 2026, the artist participated in the Art Red Sea International Residency in Hurghada, Egypt. Anastasia's works are also featured in the GEAF Edinburgh International Fair program in the UK in October 2026. Anastasia lives and works in Kamchatka. The remoteness of the region shapes her special perception of space, light and nature, but her work is not limited to local themes. The artist turns to universal emotional states, striving to create picturesque spaces in which the viewer can stop, slow down and feel their own state.
